I have no will power. I'm supposed to be on a spending ban but it's just not happening, I blame blogging, well other bloggers - they're such enablers! So what's new in my beauty stash? Well, its the second post I've written like this, you guys seemed to enjoy the first, so here's a second round up which includes some Korean skincare, an awesome fake tan and some haircare.
Corsx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
The first new product I've been loving is an AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner by Korean Brand Corsx. Korean skincare is having a huge impact in the beauty industry at the moment and naturally I was intrigued to try out some products. This toner has really been helping my blemish prone skin to become clearer and I think its having an impact on some light scaring I have on my cheeks. I've been using morning and night as part of my beauty routine and I'm really feeling the benefits of this gentle acid toner. I purchased this from Barely There Beauty's Shop. The shop has a lovely range of Korean skincare and Jennifer who not only writes a beautiful blog and owns the shop is just the wealth of knowledge when it comes to Korean Skincare. She's my Korean Beauty guru and I love learning so much from her. (Not to mention she's a good friend and also sent me a ton of samples with my order- Thanks Jennifer!) If your looking to try some Kbeauty this toner is a good place to start!
Blithe Patting Splash Mask
Secondly, The next Korean Beauty product I've picked up is the Blithe Patting Splash mask. A liquid mask that you just literally pour into your hands in the shower and gently pat onto your face for around 15 seconds. A new concept to me and one I'm really enjoying using. There is three masks in the collection Rejuvenating Purple Berry, Energy Yellow, Citrus and Honey and Soothing and Healing Green Tea. I picked the Green Tea one and I can literally see the difference in my skin as soon as I step out the shower. Its a great pick me up for dull tired complexions and its really soothing on my blemish prone skin. These masks aren't cheap at £43, and are available at Cult Beauty. You can join the wait list there for one, or pick one up from ebay for almost half the price! I'm slightly obsessed! Great Stuff.
Ogario Restore and Shine Hair Masque*
My hair has been so dull and dry lately its horrid. So I've been investing in a little extra me time (well an extra 15 mins in the bathroom anyway) and pampering my hair with this luxurious hair mask by Ogario. After the first use, the texture of my hair has improved and with continued use (once a week for the past three weeks) I'm really noticing the benefits. My hair is so much more full and the ends feel nourished and healthy again. Not to mention really shiny and bouncy. Everything you could ask for from a hair masque. The one thing I need to mention is the amazing smell. As soon as you open the tub your hit with the most gorgeous scent of lavender, it's not like an old lady lavender smell its a beautiful, punchy refreshing scent which is really soothing and relaxing whilst your waiting for it to work its magic. More great stuff.
Jouer Lip Creme
Moving on to make up, this Jouer Long wear Lip Creme has been gracing my lips recently and is another blogger inspired purchase. After reading A Beauty Detour's reviews I knew I had to give the brand a try. I'm always inspired by other bloggers and Samileen is such an enabler! I've followed her instagram and blog forever and completely trust her judgement. Plus she's a total sweetheart.
This Jouer lip creme has a matt formula which glides on like silk and dries to a lovely matt finish. Its one of those formulas you can feel that your wearing, but its not too heavy and won't dry out your lips or make them look cracked after a few hours of wear. At £14 its a more affordable choice than some high end lippies but also a little bit more luxury than a high street brand. There is a wonderful choice of colours, I picked up Dulce De Luche which is a cool toned natural pink. To be honest I wasn't sure on the colour at first but now after a few wears I love it and can't wait to pick up some more shades.
Tarte Show Stopper Clay Palette
Seriously, how beautiful is this palette? Consisting of a bronzer, highlighter, blusher and 6 gorgeous eye shadows this stunning eye palette is not only easy on the eye but homes some really wearable, beautiful shades. Its so wonderful I thought it deserved a post of its own which I posted on Friday, to catch up you can read it here.
St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil
I'm not really one for fake tan, I'm totally useless at applying it! But my best friend has been using this for ages and she always looks so bronzed and gorgeous, so obviously I needed to try it for myself. The St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Oil is so easy to apply, You literally just massage in like you would a body oil. You can leave for as little as one hour to give a light bronze tint or up to around 8 hours (overnight) to look like a bronze goddess!
It doesn't streak and looks really even and natural. As you apply it does have a light shimmer to the oil but this disappears after it's been washed off, as does the delicate sweet scent. I've found this to last me a good 5 days and I'm so pleased with the results. I'd recommend this for an easy to apply n that will have your friends asking you where you went on holiday. Just be sure to exfoliate a day or so before as it can cling to any dry patches-such as your knees or elbows and if your letting it develop overnight wear some old pjs as it can transfer onto your bedclothes.
So there's a 'snippet' of what's new in my beauty stash. Just a few of the products I'm loving lately.
What's new in your stash? Have you used any of the above products?
