Well the sun has finally made an appearance this year and I'm starting to feel all Spring - like. I like to switch up my make up and beauty products at the start of a new season (that's my excuse anyway) and at the moment I'm loving these little beauties:
YSL Top Secrets Cleanser
I actually got this for Christmas (from my very good friend) but have only just started using it and can't believe I haven't tried it until now. I love cleansers (Eve Lom and Oskia are firm faves) and this one is up there with the best. (In my humble option anyway). The gel formula feels really nourishing and moisturising on the skin. YSL Top Secrets Cleanser leaves a lovely, clean and really refreshed feel. It's slightly exfoliating but is really gentle and would even be suitable for sensitive souls. For bright, hydrated skin it's a winner.
Ren Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial
Another skincare favourite. I've just replenished my bathroom cabinet with this one as I haven't used it for a while and I have to say I've really missed it. It's perfect for those mornings when you wake up feeling ugh and need a little pick me up. After cleansing I massage Ren Flash Rinse onto dry skin and then emulsify with warm water, (which activates the Vitamin C) leave for a minute and then rinse. Voila! Super refreshed refined and glowey skin. An absolute must have. Everyone I've spoke to who has tried this is in love with it. If you don't own a tube - then stick it on your wish list!
Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream
The newest addition to Clinique's skincare range. Clinique Pep Start is a godsend for tired eyes. The creamy, err cream hydrates, brightens, refreshes (can you tell I like refreshing products) and de puffs the eye area leaving you looking more awake and ready for the day. I've been using day and night and I love it. The roller ball applicator helps to smooth the product around your eyes but using your fingers works just as well. Keeping it in my handbag and reapplying through out the day helps keep my eyes feeling bright and awake.
Rodial Blusher in 'South Beach'
I adore Rodial skincare and this blusher is my first purchase from their make up range. The Rodial blusher has a creamy texture with a velvety powder finish. South Beach leaves just the right amount of colour and this adorable pinky shade gives a healthy flush. Perfect for a pretty Spring look. Not to mention the packaging is super luxe. I'm already tempted to purchase the shade Copacabana which would be gorgeous in summer on day kissed skin.
Chanel Les Vernis in 'Jade Rose'
One of the easiest ways to update your look for Spring is with a slick of new nail varnish. I'm loving navy, greys and apple red lately but nudes with always be my go to shade of choice. I've been wearing Jade Rose, think nudey beige with just the right amount of pink. A favourite of mine for years. I find Chanel Nail varnishes such high quality and can usually get 4 days wear with little or no chipping. I can't wait to get my hands on the new gel formula Les Vernis from Chanel which launch here in the uk later this month. I can feel my bank balance groaning already.
Clinique Lip Pop & Primer in 'Melon Pop'.
I adore this shade it's so cute and pretty. When Spring arrives I pack away my berry shades and opt for a more pinky or coral shade of lipstick (plus the usual standard nudes). Clinique have got it so right with these Lip Pops. The lip pop primer keeps your lips moisturised for hours and the colour lasts really well even after eating and drinking etc. Melon pop is my favourite shade, I picked it up last year (full review here) and I feel the need to add more colours to my collection. What's your favourite? Any recommendations?
So pretty much just scratching the surface with pretty Spring beauty faves. But these super six are the ones I've been reaching for on a daily basis for the last few weeks. What's your favourite way to update your beauty kit for Spring? I'd love some recommendations.
Have a fab day
