I don't know about you but I'm seriously spotty at the moment. I'm blaming all the extra chocolate consumption over Easter. And they say chocolate doesn't give you spots pah!!
When I have bad skin days - I reach for the same trusty treatments that I know work for me, I've built up a team of reliable products that really deliver results and keep those pesky blemishes at bay. I'm constantly replenishing each of them as I know that when a breakout strikes thy'll help save my bacon - or skin (whatever). Anyway here's the ones I can't live without.
Origins Super Spot Remover
This TINY little bottle of magic is quite potent and really powerful. Origins Super Spot Remover contains Salicylic Acid to speed up the healing process of blemishes and spots. Whenever I feel a spot under the surface of my skin, at night before bed I dab a tiny amount on, and 8 times out of 10 its gone or visibly reduced by morning. I tell you no lies - this amazing gel is a complete life saver. Of course some spots arrive anyway so I dab away numerous times throughout the day. The gel is quite cool on the skin and dries straight away which makes make up application no problem. It also contain Red Algae which helps reduce redness and Anti Spot Technology to help correct post blemish marks. Which brings me onto my next hero.
Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector
A light serum that also includes a magic potion to reduce blemish pigmentation, age spots and uneven skin tone. I have a couple of dark spots on my cheeks which although are easily covered by concealer I'd like them gone please. Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector is helping fade these nicely. It doesn't happen straight away but with continued use I'm really starting to see them reduce. I also have a few spot scars on my chin from a bad breakout and this serum has definitely helped heal and fade the marks. It can be used morning and night along with your usual skincare. The serum itself is nice and creamy and feels really light on your skin.
Pixi Glow Tonic
The Pixi Glow Tonic is one of of those hyped up products that almost deserves to wear a crown as its raved about by so many beauty bloggers. I always turn to this when my skin feels rubbish. This exfoliating toner removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin looking healthy and glowing. I only use this when my skin feels particularly oily or feels like I might get a breakout. I find it slightly drying so wouldn't recommend using this as an everyday product especially if you have sensitive skin. Once or twice a week after cleansing should do the trick. The Glycolic Acid and Ginseng Root extract help firm and tone the skin. I always feel really fresh after using this. And yes its totally worth the hype.
Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Mask
You can't beat a decent clay mask when it comes to a dull and dehydrated complexion. The Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Mask is a firm favourite of mine and I've just restocked. (Hence the perfect tube in the photos). The purified clay mask helps draw out impurities whilst the Rosehip and Parsely Seed anti- oxidants really perk up your skin. Aloe Vera calms and moisturises delivering nourishment. My skin always feels amazing after using this mask and I love the fact you can use it before continuing with your make up routine. Unlike most masks I own that are before bed only. And did I mention it smells divine?? Definitely one to write home about. Or in my case Blog! An outright must have.
What's your go to products when it comes to saving bad skin? Are you a fan of any of the above?
