There's something about the words limited edition that throws me in to panic buy status. Even though I've not brought any Kiko products before (I know, I know I'm the last on the band wagon) I knew when I saw this beautiful collection I had to get my hands on some. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging and this rose gold casing is really easy on the eye. So I treated myself to a few items to see what all the Kiko fuss is about.
The first item I picked is this super gorgeous Desert Dunes Baked Blush in Lust Coral. It homes three pretty shades (baked in a cute hexagonal pattern) that are easy to blend and are highly pigmented. You only really need one sweep with your brush to give a pretty bronzed summer blush. I love all three shades and feel its a good dupe (in colour) for the Hourglass ambient lighting blushes, staying power however sadly doesn't last quite as long. The compact comes with a huge which is handy for on the go touch ups.
The second little treat is the Desert Moon Highlighter. A huge pot of highlighting balls (lol) that come in three shades and give a seriously pretty glow. I have to admit on first impressions I wasn't wowed and almost dismissed them to the back of my make up draw. Almost. I decided to give them a second chance and wear them over the blush for a few days. Verdict: I LOVE them. A understated sheen that catches the light perfectly gives a very delicate shimmer. Good Stuff.
Next up I got the Mirage Lip Stylo in Canyon Rose. I love a rosey pink and this one ticks all the boxes. Gorgeous wearable colour - tick. Creamy, long lasting formula - tick. Stunning packaging - tick. This ones up there with my Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury faves and I'm going to be wearing this right through the summer.
To go with Canyon Rose I also picked up Lip and blush pencil in 'On The road Peach' which is a lovely nudey peach. Can' t say I'm loving it on my cheeks, but on my lips it's lovely. A really wearable everyday shade with a matt finish. It does require touch ups after a couple of hours and is a tad drying. Nothing a slick of lip balm won't cure though. Plus it comes with a huge chunky pencil sharpener which is soooo handy. (Nars please take note).
Lastly I picked up one of the Eye Shadow pencil and Kajal in 'Emerald and Petrol Green'. A double ended eye shadow pencil with a soft formula and is really easy to apply. It doesn't drag or pull on your eyelid. Colour-wise - they are so vibrant! I love the green shade but not overly keen on the emerald (but that's just personal preference) and for such an inexpensive pencil the staying power is incredible. It takes a good oil based eye make up remover to get rid of every last trace.
See below for swatches of all the mentioned Wanderlust products.
Sadly my camera didn't pick up the amazing colours of the eye shadow pencil. Which is a real shame as they are gorgeous. (sorry I took about 1000 photos - lighting was not on my side today). Overall I'm really pleased with my little Kiko Wanderlust haul. The lip stylo and highlighter are clear winners for me.
Have you picked up anything from the Kiko Wanderlust collection yet? What did you get?
Have a fab day Love L xxx
