Let's all admit it; dreary, rubbish English weather is a downer. My trainers seep in mud when I'm taking Mr Doggie for a walk and I've seemingly caught every bug under the currently non-existent sun (a wonderful way to introduce a guest post, I know). So, as a beauty blogger, how else was I to dispel the winter blues and embrace some forward thinking than by changing up my lipwear?! I've got a bunch of Spring/Summer beauties that are the perfect accessory for your smile.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso £16 | I think that most of us will agree that a good red is a year round affair, and I think I've found an exceptional one in Stila's Beso. As far as liquid lipsticks go, these are as opaque and matte as you like, and I have to be honest and say they apply more easily and evenly than the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Beso is your true, primary red that I think is pretty underrated.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo £5.50 | I think this warm, berry-rose shade is overlooked in favour of Zurich//Stockholm/Addis Ababa etc, but it's so very flattering on and it's always a compliment-magnet.
Rosie For Autograph Lip Glossy in My Best Girl Friend £12.50 | The perfect translucent peach, this formula is perfect for a daytime spring lip, bringing just enough pep to my step. You really must go and check out the Rosie For Autograph range, (I've reviewed it if that's helpful) I'm so passionate about it, the Rose Bud highlighter for a start is way up there in the upper echelons of quality beauty products.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Tesoro £16 | Not content with one Stila Liquid Lipstick, I'm commending two. Tesoro, Spanish for 'treasure' aww, is a super hot, orangey-scarlett. Definitely a Mykonos/Kim Sha kinda shade, I can't wait for some balmy summer weather to come along so I can whip this one out.
No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Delicate Pink £9 | A desperately flattering way to do brights, the colour of this beauty is just the perfect spring pink. These No7 crayons surprise me in their quality, some are pretty pigmented and/or buildable and all are hydrating and comfortable on the lip.
Guerlain Shine Automatique in Mi Mai £23 | Probably a shade most would overlook, this is a great everyday lip for me. A rosy brown with a teensy bit of subtle shimmer, it makes your lips glisten with juiciness.
Rosie for Autograph Lipstick in Laugh Out Loud £14 | I couldn't be more passionate about these lipsticks, I think they're exquisite. LOL is a beautifully bright, summery shade, one I'd wear on a London rooftop sipping cocktails!
Barry M Satin Super Slick Lip Paint in Peachy Keen. A mere £4.49 | For such an affordable product, these lippies are rather pleasantly surprising. Lovely and hydrating, you can get pigmented colour in just one swipe, 166 Peachy Keen is a light and bright corally-pink.
No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Daydreamer £9 | I've chosen another of these lip crayons, in case it wasn't already obvious I liked them. Daydreamer is a dreamy nude, an even mix of rose, brown and peach tones, that looks demure and easy on the lips.
