I've always been a stationery fan, for me there's something exciting about purchasing a crisp, new notebook, a fresh, new planner or even a pack of shiney new pencils - I'm easily pleased! Purely by chance I seem to have collected rather a lot of rose gold stationery over the last few months and thought I'd share what I've been using to create a pretty desk space whilst writing my blog posts. There's something to be said about have an aesthetically pleasing work space. It makes me feel more organised and creative. I'm definitely more productive sat at a clean and tidy desk. I don't know about you but I can't concentrate in mess! My desk is still a work in progress but Here's some pretty accessories I've been loving lately.
Kikki K 365 Journal. I'm a total list maker and this pretty journal is perfect for scribbling all my wish lists and to do lists down. I picked this up on my recent visit to the Covent Garden store and have been using it everyday. The 365 Journal is a hardback notebook with numbers on the pages rather than dates which is a bit different to your average journal, it comes with a handy silk ribbon attached to help you mark your latest page. Its hardback and quite heavy so this one tends to stay on my desk rather than in my handbag. I'm a huge fan of Kikki K and all the stationery is super pretty if you follow me on Instagram or are a regular reader of my posts you may have seen this crop up in some of my photos!
Pretty Pencils. I picked up this cute little box of pencils at Sainsburys and they were a bargain at only £2. I always write in pencil when I'm making lists or notes because I'm forever making mistakes and I like being able to rub out and start again. These 'Scribbles' pencils come with Daydreamer printed on the end, and come a sweet little floral box. They make quite good dupes for Kate Spade pencils and are a fraction of the cost. The only downside is you have to sharpen them yourself. First world problems I know!
The white pencils are by Abigail Warner and are stocked in John Lewis. They come in a pack of 6 and are slightly more pricey at £10. The white 'Be Happy' Pencils come with cute phases like La De Da, XoXo and Awesome printed in gold on them. There's no difference in quality to the Sainsburys ones but they look pretty on my desk!
Rose Gold Paper Clips and Bulldog Clips. I do love a bit of scrap booking and I'm always tearing pics from magazines, of outfits for inspiration and beauty bits I'm lusting after. I don't actually have a scrapbook at the moment so I've been grouping together cuttings with these super, pretty rose gold, bull dog clips and paper clips. They are both from Paperchase and come in handy little zipped pouches. (You can find similar here). The paper clips come in assorted sizes (also pretty useful). I'm waiting to burn out a couple of my Diptyque candles to use for storage.
Prints. I love prints and picked up this gorgeous marble and copper initial print from Lily Rose & Co. Which is one of my favourite places to shop for stationery and homeware. I chose B for Beaux Diaries There's a gorgeous range of prints and I can't wait to purchase a few more when my office space is finished.
Postcards from Nouvelle Daily. Lastly I've been loving these cute postcards from the Nouvelle Daily Shop. They come in a pack of 12 with 4 different designs. Again I've been using these on Instagram and the blog for photos as they help create pretty images. I have sent a couple of these to my friends - they are blank inside so you can write your own message. With the ease technology; a hand written note is quite rare these days - which I think makes it that little bit more special and personal when you receive them.
I hoping to post up some pics of my finished desk soon - that's if you'd like to see it? Where do you shop for stationery, and which items do you use everyday? I'd love some recommendations. please?
Love L xx
