I'm a total Diptyque fan. I love the scents, the aesthectic, everything. There's something special about this brand. All the products are so lust worthy, and add a touch of luxury to any home. Over the last year or so I've added a few new Diptyque products to my collection and I've loved making my home not only look pretty but smell amazing too.
If you follow me on instagram you may have seen a few candles popping up occasionally the're so photogenic and make wonderful blogging props too.
My collection or should I say obsession started with a single Baies candle. Baies has to be my absolute favourite; the unmistakable fragrance of rose and blackcurrent is so beautiful and I instantly feel at home and relaxed after lighting this one. I display one in my son Hugo's nursery. Mainly because it looks pretty. I also keep one on my fireplace and my mini travel sized candle is displayed in a cute little bell jar I picked up in Tiger for £1.
Its no secret I like my home to smell amazing and to be honest Fabreeze just wasn't cutting it anymore. As I adore Diptyque candles, it made sense to try out a room spray. Roses room spray has a beautiful scent of err, yep you guessed it roses. Its not over bearing and leaves each room smelling pretty and fresh. Its also made its way to my wardrobe, draws and shoe cabinet. Yes, its a little more pricey than your average air freshner but its so much more luxurious and the pretty glass bottle is good not to have on display too.
Also in my candle collection there's Mimosa, which is a delicate floral scent. I have the travel sized candle which is really cute. And also Vanille, which was a birthday gift. Vanille is the strongest scent of my collection its quite sweet and reminds me of summer.
I recently picked up a Diptyque wick trimmer. If your serious about caring for our candles then this little tool is a must. If you've ever tried trimming the wick of your candles with scissors you'll understand it can be tricky business - especially on the smaller ones. The sharp half moon shaped blade prevents the wick from falling onto your melted candle and stops it looking a complete mess. Also in the accessories collection is a candle snuffer but I haven't felt the need for one of these yet.
The Eau Rose Hand Lotion has been a firm favourite lately. Its enriched with aloe vera and macadamia nut oil. It's quite rich but non greasy and sinks in fast. A must have for my hands in this cold weather that were currently having. The delicate scent of roses is unmistakably Diptyque.
And lastly my second favourite candle has to be Cypres. I brought this for myself as a Christmas treat and it looked gorgeous on my mantle next to my Christmas tree. The woody pine fragrance is beautiful and will always remind me of good times as I lit this one a lot over the Christmas holidays when I had friends and family over. The glass on this one has blacked from the flames, but I think this just adds to the aesthetic.
Diptyque has definitely become my guilty pleasure. An expensive habit I know at £40 each a for 190g candle. Each larger candle does last for 90 hours so if you only burn them for an hour or so in the evening they tend to last a long time. Plus when there all burnt out the glass jars make pretty vases, pen pots and brush holders. Next on my wishlist is to try some Perfumes.....
What's your favourite Diptyque product?
