If there's one thing I could consistently improve on, it would be productivity. If I plan ahead and get organised then I'm winning. If not then my world has fallen apart by Tuesday. Over the last few months I've developed a little routine that helps me stay on top of things and today I'm sharing six tips to help you have a super productive week.....
1. Make A To Do List.
I'm a total list maker. Complying a weekly to do list really helps me get focused and helps me remember everything. Plus its really satisfying ticking everything off said list. If your really organised then breaking it down into tasks for each day helps you prioritise and stay on top of things, dry cleaning Monday, post office on Tuesday and so on.
2. Do Your Laundry At The Weekends.
Without the risk of sounding like your mother, then doing your washing at the weekends and having it ready for the week is a real life saver. Nothing worst than waking up on Monday morning and realising you have nothing to wear. We all feel more confident in a nice outfit and if you have one planned for the start of the week your off to a good start. Seize the day and all that.
3. Book Your Travel Early.
Early bird catches the worm, but it also saves time (and sometimes money). Book those train tickets in advance, top up your oyster card or fill up your tank with petrol. Booking your travel in advance can save those miserable moments getting stuck in rush hour or standing queing at the ticket machine. Use trainline.com and you can save also yourself some pennies.
4. Plan your Meals Or Meal Prep
I've recently started doing this and its saving me so much hassle. I love cooking but after a long day I rarely feel like starting from scratch in the kitchen. Go food shopping on order online on a Sunday and have everything delivered ready for the week. Doing this has been a turning point for me and I've been so much healthier too. You can find cute little meal planners here.
5. Schedule Your Social Media
If your also a fellow blogger then this ones for you. I have to admit this is something that I am still working on. Scheduling social media saves so much time and really helps to promote your posts. If I don't schedule then I forget, sometimes I don't go on twitter for days and this can be fatal to page views etc etc. If you need some help with this then this post may help.
6. Have a Break
I'm all for working hard and staying on top of things but its important to take a break too and not to put to much pressure on yourself. Have a mid week breather, take some exercise, have a bubble bath or just have a break from your phone (we're all obsessed aren't we). This can help you relax, keep your mind calm and refresh you ready for the rest of the week.
Hope you find these little tips helpful. They have really worked for me so hope they can for you too. Here's to a productive week ahead.
Good Luck Love L xx
