I'm such a make up magpie, I see a new launch or colour trend and I need it, want it have to have it. Needless to say my make up collection is slightly heaving at the moment especially in the lippy department. In all honesty though I'm a creature of habit and once I find a firm favourite I reach for it on a daily basis.
Today I'm talking lipstick. Like most, Autumn is my favourite time of year and I always celebrate it buy bringing out the 'Berry Lip'. I'm not one to wear it daily though sometimes I feel a bit too done for work so I'm constantly rotating from this to nudes to the red.
Here's three I have on Constant Rotation.
Tom Ford - First Time
The newest in my collection and the most expensive. I'm still slightly ashamed that I've spent £38 on a single lipstick. But it is Tom Ford and I've been wearing it so much that I'm getting my pennies worth. First Time is part of the 'Noir Color Collection' and has a rich non drying formula with semi matte finish. The soft peachy, pinky nude tone suits my (medium) complexion really well, it's a lovely one for this time of year. It works well with a warm smoky eye (using my the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette) a look that I'm loving at the moment. The weighty black and gold casing is about as luxurious as they come.
Charlotte Tilbury - Walk of Shame
I bang on about this lipstick quite regularly! It's my absolute favourite berry shade of all time. I discovered this shade last year and have been wearing it non stop for day or evening. Charlotte Tilbury is such a make up goddess and her lipstick lines are exquisite. Walk of Shame comes from the Matte Revolution range, a highly pigmented and non drying collection. Its longevity is fantastic and a good application can last me around 6 hours. I have to admit I do find it a little drying after a few hours, but if I give my lips a slick of lip balm in between touch ups this helps to prevent cracking and peeling. The colour is a beautiful berry with a hint of rouge copper. Perfection.
Chanel Coco Rouge - Dimitri
It's taken me a while to build up the confidence to wear a red lip. If I have a night out planned then it's the perfect excuse to bring out the red lippy - especially at this time of year. Don't shoot me for saying the 'C' word in November but Dimitri always comes out to play on Christmas Day. This beautiful red is part of the Chanel Coco Rouge collection. The colour is a real vibrant red with a sheer lightweight formula. It's really nourishing and conditioning so definitely no drying out here. One application can last me around four hours. Maybe less when eating or drinking. I'm so in love with this shade it's a total classic I can't be without!
So there's my fave three that I can't live with out at the moment. Pink or berry for the day, berry all weekend and red for a night out - cliche me??? Nah just a lipstick addict.
What are you favourite lipsticks do you rotate your stash or reach for the favourites everyday?
Thanks for stopping by it means a lot!!
