Last weekend I popped into the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Store in Covent Garden, I couldn't resist picking up a few treats even thou its the middle of January and I'm super poor - I couldn't leave empty handed...
The store is beautiful Art Deco fans will love it - if you missed my last post all about my store visit and THAT boudoir you can catch up here.
Firstly I picked up the Wonder Glow primer, this is the first ever Charlotte Tilbury product I owned - and one I always like to keep stock of. This is now my 3rd tube!! Its a total skin saviour especially at this time of year. You can use it as a primer before foundation or on top as a little pick me up throughout the day. Wonder Glow instantly makes my skin look radiant and awake. It's collegen boosting and light reflecting ingredients are like a little magic potion for dull tired skin. Wonderful!!
Next: I picked up a couple of Colour Chameleon Pencils. Bronzed Garnet which I LOVE and Smokey Emerald which I'm on the fence with. Bronzed Garnet is for Green eyes (mine are greeny/blue) and the colour really make my eyes pop. The pencil is really easy to apply it has a silky formula that glides on ( its doesn't tug) and is really easy to blend using your fingers. I literally fill in my eyelid using the pencil, blend a little and I'm done! Smudging a little under my lash line also helps emphasise my eyes. I love how quick and simple these pencils are to use and never want this one to run out!
The second colour Smokey Emerald, is not so lovely - well on me anyway! And that's probably because its recommended for Hazel eyes - which I don't have! My mistake I think I got a little over excited in store. When swatched on my hand the colour is gorgeous a real deep dark green which a little gold fleck, but on my eyes it just doesn't look as amazing as I hoped. It looks quite dark on me and probably one to blend for a smokey eye for a night out. It felt a little heavy for daytime. I'm sure if you have Hazel eyes its a winner. Overall though I love these pencils, the formula lasts forever and they are a dream to apply.
I restocked up on The Retoucher. A brilliant little concealer that's works wonderfully well under the eyes. It's similar to the YSL Touche Eclat but in my opinion better. Its a must have for me in the mornings when I'm sleep deprived and my eyes are carrying some attractive bags! It banishes the shadows and helps minimise lines, wrinkles and dehydration lines. I also love using this as a highlighter when 'attempting' some contouring.
I also picked up A 'Film Star On The Go' Palette in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. This has to be my favourite purchase. It contains a cream eye colour and cheek to lip colour. The gold compact is really beautiful and has a large mirror for on the go application. The creamy eye colour is a beautiful deep bronzy/gold with a gorgeous shimmer. The formula is super easy to apply using your finger and the colour builds really well with a couple of applications too. It doesn't crease and lasts really well. Its a gorgeous shade for creating a smudgy smokey eye. The cheek/lip colour is a gorgeous apricot/peach which will flatter almost all skin tones. The colour works really well on both the cheeks and lips and leaves a beautiful subtle sheen. The oil based formula is really moisturising and not drying when worn on the lips.
This palette is definitely a keeper and I can see myself using this a lot especially when summer comes. The colours would really complement a tan and I LOVE the fact you can literally apply in minutes. Plus the packaging is pretty special.
I could have spent a lot more money in store, everything looks so dreamy, I totally resisted the lipsticks (well done me) but have made a huge wishlist of items I need to buy soon. Starting with some of the skincare! I picked up a little make up 'Service Menu' for future visits. (I need a little pampering in the Boudoir). I even got a little Charlotte Tilbury card holder in my bag too which was a cute little extra!
So what do you think of my little mini Charlotte Tilbury haul? Have you tried any of the above products? What's on your Charlotte Tilbury Wishlist.
