I was really excited to discover these wonderful oil based lip tints on the Yves Saint Laurent counter a while ago. They were launched at the end of January and they are the perfect pick me up for dry chapped lips.
Lip oils are a relatively new product and are about to take the beauty world by storm. Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort oil has been a huge success and I'm really excited that YSL have introduced the gorgeous Volupté Tint- In - Oil.
The collection consists of 8 pretty colours each with a fun name, that all smell divine (think Lanomé Juicy Tubes but better). The oil based texture is deep conditioning, glides on easily and is really hydrating and nourishing it's like a little comfort blanket on your lips. Unlike some lip glosses it's not sticky and if you're afraid of colour the sheer tint is very subtle, after a few hours after the oil sinks in softening your lips and leaving a very delicate hint of colour.
I could have brought them all but eventually decided on No 4 ' I Rose You' a soft nude pink, my second favourite has to be No 6, 'Peach Me Love' which has a peachy pinky tone. No 7. 'Crush Me Orange' is lovely too and reminds me of holidays, it would look great with a tan. If you're looking for a deeper colour the 'Cherie My Cherie' wears as a hot pink and is the most vibrant of the bunch. All 8 colours are really wearable.
The packaging is eye-catching, the classic YSL silver tube is very glam with a band of colour in the middle to indicate which shade it is. The applicator is shaped like lips which is a lovely touch and makes it really easy to apply too.
As you can probably tell, I'm in love with these lip tints and I think we can look forward to more oil based lip products from other brands in the future. Its well worth treating yourself; your lips will thank you for it!
