There is much hype in the Beauty world surrounding the Pixi Glow Tonic. Pretty much every beauty blogger and her cat has written about this so called miracle product, so naturally I had to try it for myself.
At first I didn't see what all the fuss is about; but after using this for the past 3 months; I have to admit I'm pretty impressed. My skin looks more radiant, feels fresher and smoother and is probably one if the reasons my skin is a lot clearer. I've had very little sleep in the past couple of weeks and usually when I’m tired my skin looks fatigued and dull but instead I’ve found it’s enhanced my complexion. I've had the odd hormonal spot and I find it's helped reduce redness and my blemishes disappeared after a day or so.
After cleansing I use a small amount on cotton wool and gently sweep over my skin, it tingles slightly and after a few applications my face actually feels a little tighter. (As someone who is obsessed with ageing this is particularly good news). It contains some super ingredients: Glycolic Acid, which helps to exfoliate the skin surface and remove those dead skin cells, Witch Hazel which is fab on blemishes, ginseng for radiance and Aloe Vera is super soothing, just to name a few. A major plus is that it's alcohol free.
The Pixi Glow Tonic is recommended for all skin types even sensitive but in my opinion If you have sensitive skin that tends to react, I would only use a couple of times a week or when your skin needs a little pick me up. Some of the other ingredients have the potential to aggravate your skin- but only if your super sensitive.
The only down side to this cult classic is that it's ridiculously hard to get hold of - that was until ASOS starting stocking it. You can find it in Pixi's store in Carnaby street London or online at Pixi's website (click link below). It's quite often sold out as many people tend to buy more than one at a time. It's also worth a look in Liberty’s too. At £18 a bottle it's not cheap but I'd say it would last you a good few months if used regularly.
So my overall verdict is that it’s a winner if you haven’t already tried then this multi tasking tonic and your skin is feeling a little dull then it's well worthy of a space in your skincare routine.
Even better news - Pixi has just launched 2 more exciting products: Glow Mist £15 and Make Up Fixing Mist for a radiant dewy effect. And also Make Up Fixing Mist £15 - for longer wearing make up. I've just purchased both as I predict another fast sell out.
Have you tried any of Pixi's products? What did you think?
