If you read my last post you'll know that I've recently been to Perth, I had such an amazing time there it was my first time in Australia and totally fell in love with it. I can see why so many people emigrate. The country has so much to offer.
After a lot of beach days, exploring the city and seeing the sights, I went late night shopping in Joodalup with the girls and discovered Maximecca. It's wonderful. Just like Space NK but with brands such as Hourglass, Nars, Urban Decay, Smashbox and By Terry to name a few. Also a few brands I've not used before like Jose Maran and Mecca Cosmectia. I was in heaven and spent so long in there testing products and chatting to the staff. My niece even had her make up done which looked incredible. Anyway after much deliberation I purchased a few bits here's what I brought:
After Sun Body Hydrator by Mecca cosmectica This is a gorgeous gel after sun, its really soothing and hydrating and made my skin feel really soft and smooth. Its great for holidays evenings as it has flecks of shimmer in it and gives your skin a beautiful glow. It smells beautiful and it quite a big tube so would last your holiday and also for when you return home. (I've been using it as a body lotion before I go out). The packaging is very luxe nude and black with gold detailing on the box. If I'm honest I could have brought so much more from the Mecca cosmectica range and now I'm home I wish that I did as i can find anywhere that sells it in the UK.
Jose Maran Argan Milk Hydrator I totally fell in love with the Jose Maran range. All of her products are organic and most of the have Argan oil based. I brought this little Argan milk number after much deliberation and it's wonderful especially on sunkissed skin. I love it so much I'm dedicating my next blog post to it so you can read more then.
Nars Laguna bronzer A must have in my make up bag. And like thousands of others I adore it. As soon as it runs out I'm buying another. The shade is perfect and it goes on like a dream. I won't bang on about it as you've probably know it already! The exchange rate for dollars to pounds was good in March and this one only cost me £19.
Jose Maran coconut water eye colours I love these so much that I brought one and then brought another the next week I went late night shopping. Probably would have brought them all if I could. I choose 'Playa del Pink' (a gorgeous nude pink) and 'Beach Sand' (a bronze brown with a slight copper tint). Coconut Watercolour liquid eyeshadow is 50% coconut water and packed full of colour pigment they give a beautiful luminous sheen and are so hydrating.
They need a good shake to mix and a little goes a long way. To apply; I use the applicator to add a couple of dots and then blend in with my fingers it just takes a couple of seconds to dry. Its silky formula glides on and takes a little practice to get the amount right. They have good staying power and do not crease. 'Beach Sand' creates a beautiful smudgy smokey eye and blended with the 'Playa Del Pink' looks gorgeous together. I'm just sad that they are not stocked in the UK yet. However QVC have a small range of Jose Maran so I'll be stocking up on other products from her range there.
Coconut Watercolor Liquid Eyeshadow. So what do you think of my mini holiday haul? Have you tried anything from the Jose Maran or Mecca Cosmectica ranges? If anyone knows where I can purchase in the UK please let me know in the comments below.
I'll love you forever
