For me, there's nothing worse than being told I look tired. They might as well say 'you look like shit'. It all means the same to me. When I'm tired it shows in my eyes (like most of us). And lately being tired is an understatement. Work, babies, blogging, too many nights out - its kinda taking its toll.
I've been looking after my peepers and have 5 products that really work for me. If your eyes are in need of a little TLC then read on...
Origins No Pufferey Mask
This eye gel is so refreshing when used first thing in the morning. I love to apply it to my eyelids to help reduce puffiness. Its really cool and extra lovely when you keep it in the fridge. No Puffery also helps to prevent redness. I apply straight from the shower in the mornings before my make up. If you suffer from puffy eyes then this ones a winner.
Optrex Eye Drops
Dry, scratchy eyes are a killer. Optrex eye drops revive and hydrate your eyes making them feel more comfortable. Optrex refreshing eye drops are enriched with natural plant extracts and are gentle enough to be used everyday. I love using these in the mornings especially after a heavy night. They make my eyes sparkle and shine even when I'm super tired.
Clarins Instant Light Concealer
For dark shadows I need a good under eye concealer. Clarins Instant light concealer is illuminating and covers really well. It doesn't crease and lasts pretty much all day. Its so great for making you look like you've had 10 hours beauty sleep. I love the texture of this Concealer its not heavy and can easily be built up if I need a little extra coverage.
Charlotte Tilbury Eye Cheat Pencil
I used to be on the fence with white eye liner it sounds a bit 90s - but the Charlotte Tilbury Eye Cheat has me converted. Its more of a soft white, not too harsh. I pencil my waterline and my eyes are instantly perkier, brighter and more awake.
Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curlers
Everyone needs a good pair of eyelash curlers and in my opinion these are the best around. Admittedly £20 for a pair of eye lash curlers is a bit steep; but they last forever and their shape has just been upgraded so now they are even better. Shu Uemura curlers give a lovely strong curl rather than a bend like some cheaper versions do. I use before mascara to give my lashes a little head start on the curl. They instantly open up my eyes and make them look bigger.
What's your secret to wide awake eyes?
Have a great day.
