I've not written an empties post before mainly because I hardly ever use up products (there's a product graveyard under my bed) but this month I've used up a lot of faves and wanted to share how good they are and what I'll be buying again. Good job its pay weekend.
So used up first: Caudalie Anti Wrinkle defence serum, from the Polyphenol C15 range. I love this serum - I first discovered it about 3 months ago and have been using it day and night as a regular in my skincare routine. After using it for about a week, my skin texture and radiance has really improved. Can't quite put my finger on what magic it has done but what I do know is that I've been having good skin days everyday and when used in the morning this little Caudalie gem makes applying make up a dream. It's light enough to use with a moisturiser and night cream too. It's my current favourite and I've just restocked from Feel Unique. (Its a bargain at £35 compared to some serums out there AND its currently on sale) I usually like to try something new once a product is used up but this one is being replenished. You can read about the rest of the Caudalie anti wrinkle collection here.
YSL Touche Eclat
It stopped clicking. (cries) I hate it when this happens - there's no warning it just stops clicking and runs out. This is a make up staple of mine and I've been using it for years. I always have one on the go. Lately I've been using it as a highlighter when doing a bit of contouring. Probably why its ran out so fast. I have a Clarins concealer on the go so I'm not in a hurry to repurchase but at some point I definitely will. YSL Touche Eclat is the most perfect under eye concealer and if you don't already own one I urge you to buy one.
REN 1 Minute Facial
Slightly devastated this is all gone. It really is amazing. I've been using it around 2/3 times a week especially at weekends after a heavy night or just mid week when I'm feeling a little blugh. If you've not heard of it before then bascially its a lovely, fresh exfoliating treatment/mask that is a little miracle in a tube. You apply to clean, dry skin, give it a little massage and then emulsify your face. This activates the vitamin C. Leave for 1 minute (or a few more if you fancy) and then rinse off. Ta dah beautiful, fresh, super soft skin. Don't however leave it in the shower for the water to get in and activate the vitamin C. Thus making the tube useless. Now I need to buy more! Bobbi Brown Touch Up Skin Concealer
As you probably guessed I'm a big concealer fan. Not that I'm spotty - my skin is actually really clear lately. But I get the odd blemish and do like to hide my imperfections (don't we all). This Bobbi Brown Touch Up Stick is good but not not brilliant. Its quite a light coverage so you need to build it up if you have a heavy amount to conceal. It lasts pretty well but does need a couple of touch ups throughout the day. The tube itself however only lasted me a few weeks. I do like it, it has a lovely texture but from now on I'll probably be sticking to Nars (Sorry Bobbi).
So there's my first empties post with my main empties from August - along with numerous shower gels, shampoos and conditioners but if I harper on about all those you'll be bored to tears. That's if you've made it down this far! At least its a good way to see what products actually get used up and if they are really worth the money and a repurchase. 3/4's not bad.
What have you been using up this month?
