Ok; I admit I totally jumped on the beauty bandwagon on this one. But when you see how gorgeous the new Clinique Pop collection is, I'm pretty sure you will want some too. I purchased the Clinique Lip Colour and Primer and also the Clinique Cheek Pop from my local Debenhams recently and I'm so glad that I did.
I've read so many reviews on blogs and magazines and simply had to try them out for myself and naturally, share them with you all on L's Beauty Spot.
The Clinique Lip Colour + Primer is a dream to apply it glides on smoothly and has a soft buttery texture that mositurises your lips. There are 16 shades to choose from and after ages of testing, swatching and deliberating I finally decided on 'Melon Pop' which is a vibrant pink that's quite similar to Lovelorn by Mac. I could have brought about 5 and will definitely be going back for more. 'Beige Pop' and Bare Pop' were huge contenders.
I'm super happy with 'melon pop' and although it took me forever to wear it ( I don't know about you but there's something beautiful about the shape of a brand new lipstick and I don't want to use it and spoil it!) But since I took the plunge and applied it, It has barely left my lips and I've worn it everyday since.
Whilst on the Clinique counter I also wanted to check out the new 'Cheek Pops'. There is 8 colours in the collection and it didn't take me too long to pick out 'Melon Pop' not deliberatly to match my lip colour I just loved the shade. However it was out of stock so I choose 'peach pop' which is equally as pretty.
The blusher itself has a soft pigment and leaves a lovely flush of colour that looks so pretty on the skin. Clinique Cheek Pops are a powder blusher and super lightweight to apply. The colour lasts for ages and I find I only need to re-apply once during the day. The colour is soft but buildable if you desire a more deeper flush.
These blushes are simply beautiful, Cheek Pops are shaped into a geranium flower and enclosed in a cute compact with a glass lid. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone passing a Clinique counter this weekend and that's just not for the packaging alone! Priced at £16.50 they would make a great gift and for a high end blusher I feel that's a great price.
Clinique have some gorgeous make up at the moment and I could have brought so much more. To be honest if it wasn't for seeing these Lip Colours and Cheek Pops all over Instagram and the internet I probably wouldn't have stopped by the Clinique counter. But I can feel a brand rediscovery coming on and I'll be back there next week with out a doubt!
Do You have any Lip or Cheek Pops from Clinique? Which colour is your favourite?
Thanks for reading.
