Summer's here! Well almost anyway, we've had a few sunny days here in the UK and its got me all excited for summer. As I know you girls like to switch up your make up to go with our seasons, I thought I'd share with you my favourite blushers for summer skin.
First Up is Nars Blush in 'Unlawful'. Its a gorgeous peachy- pink colour with transparent pigments. I love the sheer glow it gives my cheeks and this Nars Blush really compliments a tan. Unlawful has a slight shimmer with flecks of gold and it's perfect for highlighting those cheekbones. Its easy to build up depth for a more intense blush. I love the cult favourite Nars Blush in Orgasm and could wear that all year round but if you fancy trying a new colour then Unlawful gets my vote for the summer.
Next up is another from Nars - Nars the Multiple in Puerto Vallarta. This little beauty can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks and body. I love to use it on my cheekbones for a gorgeous highlight on summer's evenings. Puerto Vallarta is is probably best suited to brunettes or olive skin tones (blondes I'd recommend the colour Orgasm). The Nars Multiple has a cream to powder formula and is incredibly easy to blend and leaves a beautiful glow to your sunkissed skin. A must for your holiday make up bag. Its also great on the body too across your decollete and shoulders. Also worth mentioning is that you get loads in the tube so its bound to last you forever.
Mac Cremeblend Blush in 'Ladyblush'. Great name huh Lady Blush! I've used this for years. I think it was one of the first Mac products I ever purchased and its stayed a firm favourite ever since. The creamy texture glides on beautifully leaving a dewy healthy glow (thats what we all want right?) and pop of colour on my cheeks. It's really subtle and easy to build up if you would like a deeper colour. Mac cremeblend blush is a good choice if you have dry skin as it's moisturising and won't clog or stick to dry patches making skin look uneven. I apply using my fingers but a sponge could also be used if you prefer a tool.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush - Diffused Heat is a beautiful blusher. It's very pigmented and a little goes a long way. The lightweight powder uses Photoluminescent Technology (sounds techincal) which bascially means it picks up the light and highlights your cheeks and the colour looks gorgeous in photos and in person. Whilst adding definition to your cheek bones and and flush of colour. Not to mention the the luxe gold compact is stunning too. There are 6 colours in the Ambient Lightning collection. Diffused Heat is a great choice for summer when you want to look glowing and radiant.
And last of all is a great drugstore choice: Bourjois Little Blusher pot. This super cute blusher is lightweight and really easy to blend. The powder formula is really soft and silky to touch and gives a semi matt finish with a slight hint of shimmer. It smells gorgeous too. The pot is compact with a mirror and brush that makes touching up on the go easy peasy. I tend to find I need a few touch ups are needed throughout the day. Overall a great budget choice.
So there's my round up of some of my favourite blushers for summer. Do you use any of the above blushers?
Which is your summer favourite?
