I've recently returned from the most amazing three weeks in Australia. I'm not really a fan of flying but I was secretly looking forward to just 'sitting' for 18 hrs, life has been a little crazy lately and I really needed a to a bit of time to just relax (not that flying is really that relaxing). I packed a few beauty essentials in my hand luggage To keep me looking and feeling fresh on board and for arrivals after all I was visiting family I hadn't seen for nine years and didn't want them to think I've turned into an old hag!
Anyway... read on below for what I packed.....
Simple Radiance Brightening Cleansing Wipes
Easy and fuss free way to take my make up off once in the air. These Simple wipes are non greasy and non drying they contain Pro Vitamin B5 which is an added bonus.
Origins No Puffery Eye Mask
I can't always sleep on the plane and if I do it's a short nap here and there, Origins No Puffery Eye Mask helps keep my eyes refreshed and reduces swelling. You just apply under and around the eye area and leave for 5/10 mins. Then just wipe off using tissue. The icy cold formula works wonders on my peepers and stops me looking exhausted at arrivals.
Caudaile Beauty Exiler
As tiredness strikes my skin looses it's radiance and starts to look dull and grey; to perk me up and refresh my skin, I gave my face a spritz every now and again. I love the smell it's like a little magic potion for my face it wakes up my skin and tightens pores. This beauty god send is avaible in a small 30ml travel size which is perfect for holidays and travel. It can also be used to set your makeup too. (I love a double duty product)
Rodial Glam Balm Hand
I absolutly adore this hand cream. Whenever I apply it, someone always comments on the beautiful smell and will always ask to borrow it! It's so nourishing and moisturising it leaves my hands feeling soft for ages. It contains Vitamin C and E Grapeseed Oil and Shea butter. At £39 it's quite steep for a hand cream but I first discovered it in TK Maxx for £12. Now it's quite hard to get hold of but it's currently on sale in House of Fraser at £27.50 grab it while you can. I know I'll be stocking up.
Eve Lom Kiss Mix
I've had this in my make up kit for years, I love the minty tingly feeling you get when applying. It leaves my lips plumped with a subtle shine that's not sticky. (Nothing worse that your hair getting stick to your lips). It's really hydrating - perfect for inflight when your lips feel like they are drying and cracking up under the cabin pressure.
Dove Compressed Pure Eden Anti perspirant is essential. Cant say more than that!
Batistte Dry Shampoo
After around 24 hours of traveling my hair is never going to look fantastic so I took Batistte Dry Shampoo with me to combat any greasiness and give my hair a little oomph. No one likes flat hair. It comes in a perfect little travel size too.
Flying sucks every drop moisture out of my skin so I'm taking along some handy samples of Rodial super food stem cell facial oil. Although I love an oil based product I don't always like the feeling of oil on my face but during a long haul flight I need all the moisture I can get. This facial oil is really hydrating and sinks in quickly it contains anti oxidents, vitamins A B5 C and E. It helps to soften wrinkles and fine lines around my eyes. I'll applied on clean skin during the flight and just before I applied my make up before landing. I always save my samples up for traveling as it saves soo much space. (sorry no photo of these guys as I used them, but have a look at the link below to see it in full size).
Also in my hand luggage I packed some cosy socks from Reiss to keep my feet warm, the air conditioning is always icey cold. My Beats by Dre Headphones to drown out the noise, and lots of magazines.
I always carry a notebook and pen too in case inspiration strikes. Although I spent most of the flight watching the inflight entertainment and eating! Overall these handy products made me feel a little less frazzled and a little more pampered during the longest flight ever.
Australia was wonderful and it was the best 3 weeks in the sun, spending time with family. I can't wait to return, obviously I made time to visit the shops and my next post is all about my haul at Mecca Maxima I picked up some gorgeous new products that I excited to share with you.
Do you use any of the above products? What's your inflight essentials?
