There are a few things In life worth investing in- and I believe your skin is one Is one them. Over the years I've experimented with tons of Skincare products. I tend to favour high end products ........as they produce better long term results and I'm a sucker for beautiful packaging. Saying that - I have come to adore a few budget buys too which proves you don't always have to spend out to get results. You just have to work out what works for you. I've been having a love affair with Rodial since it was launched and always have a few of there products on the go. I tend to chop and change my routine throughout the year depending on my how my skin is. But for now the below products are my current faves.....
Eve Lom Cleanser
This is the best cleanser I have ever used- strong statement I know but it really is amazing. I've been using it for 3 years now and can't be without it. If you've not used it before the texture looks a bit strange at first- it's like a huge tub of Vaseline! It melts into your skin and turns into a light oil which removes all make up and daily dirt. It even removes your eye make up. I massage in for a couple of minutes and then use the Eve Lom muslin cloth to remove. I usually repeat again as the second application is a deep cleanse. After my skin is left super clean and fresh just like having a facial at a spa. Vogue once said this was the best cleanser in the world and I'd probably agree. At £55 for a 100ml pot it's quite pricey - it usually lasts me around 6 months but it's well worth every penny.
Rodial Eye Cream
This dreamy eye cream is wonderful. I quite often have broken or little sleep so under eye shadows are a problem for me. Rodial Glamtox Eye helps reduce the shadows and perk up my eyes. I dab a small amount under both eyes and sweep across my eyelids it's lovely and cool when you put it on and it really refreshes my eyes. This is one of my faves when it comes to eye creams. The silver tube looks fab on my dressing table too. It contains SPF 15 which is an added bonus.
Garnier 2 in 1 Eye Make Up Remover.
This is one of the best inexpensive eye make up removers I've used. I go through quite a lot of eye make up remover so don't really see the point in spending a lot of money. I dabble with falsies now and again and wear waterproof mascara for swimming so I need a product that's nourishing on the eyes. I love this oil based gem by Garnier because it gets rid of all my mascara without the need to scrub, it leaves my eyelashes and skin around my eyes feeling soft and moisturised. I just give the bottle a good shake, dab onto a cotton wool pad and hold down over my eyes for few seconds. It dissolves all my make up whist conditioning my lashes at the same time. Some eye make up removers I've tried in the past are either too harsh or only remove some of my mascara. Garnier 2 in 1 Eye Make Up Remover does the job nicely and doesn't break the bank in the process.
Ren Youth Vitality Day Cream
This is a newbie in my skin care regime. I'm a fan on Ren products so when I ran out of my usual (not Ren) moisturiser I thought I'd give this a try. (The claim that it reduces the signs of premature ageing had me sold) I must be honest I'm not crazy about the smell- it's a bit peppery but I can live with that. It's texture is a little thicker than I would normally go for, but it's still a little chilly outside and my face needs a little extra protection. Ren youth vitality day cream is non greasy and sinks beautifully in after a couple of seconds. it's not too heavy to use after a serum either. It gives a nice dewy glow and my skin feels plump hydrated and ready for make up. I'd recommend if your after a no fuss day cream that protects your skin and boosts radiance.
Rodial Glamtox Night
Ahh this ones a beaut. I've used this for a couple of years now and am always sad when it's all gone. I usually restock this one straight away. It's an expensive habit I know and I kinda wish I didn't love it so much but when you hit your 30s (sobs) it's time to start really looking after your skin. The gel like formula is quite thick but feels wonderful when you apply it to your skin. A little goes a long way so you only need 1 pump. It really does work it's magic overnight, in the morning my skin is smoother, firmer softer and more radiant. Radiance is a big plus for me as when I'm tired my skin looks grey and dull.
The fantastic thing about Rodial products is that although there expensive you see results straight away and your skin will improve all the time your using them. It's when I stop using Rodial that I notice a difference in my skin; it's not as firm, my complexion isn't as clear and just doesn't feel as good. If your looking at investing in a good quality night cream for your skin then Rodial is a good place to start.
Have you used any of the above products? What's in your current Skincare regime?
